Today it Rained
by Jade Davies
Today it is raining - finally.
After so many days of waiting.
So many weeks of hesitating.
It is here,
RAIN.
I watched the rain as it fell down
The window. They look like clear,
Small, twinkling diamonds.
Today it rained – again

The Beach
by Melissa Vojtek
Cool clear waters soak my feet,
Waves overlapping to the sands they meet.
Palm trees gracefully swaying in the wind,
Dancing to the music out and
in.
Oceans stretch as far as the eye can see,
This is the place, the only place
for me.
The bright white ball of butter in the sky,
Covered by the heavens beginning to cry.
The tears of life drop to the sand,
I watch as one falls into my hand.
But then everything is quiet, everything is dry,
Watch as the last cloud
disappears from the sky.
The pure white sand between my toes,
This is my land, the land I know.
