is a panic button
when you have
no energy to
believe.
Knowledge
is a tree
that keeps
growing
and never
dies.
Faith
is a bird
with no wings
that soars with
its heart.
Love
is a flame
that burns
within you.
A Lifeless Plain

This land once filled with everlasting life,
Now a lifeless plain,
Cracks in the dusty and dry red sand,
The beauty that once lived,
Turned to withered crops,
A water reserve dried up,
A potent puddle left as a memory,
A town that's so isolated,
With not a cloud in sight,
How long do we wait?
For this rain, that is now a phenomenon,
Heat waves rise from this barren land,
Destroyed because the heavens haven't
let out a drop,
This lifeless plain is my home,
To leave would be misery,
Even with the struggle we have to face,
I love this rugged country,
Life nowadays, depends on the caring help of other citizens,
Our cooperation
and teamwork is now important,
Facing a fatal and disastrous threat,
We all depend on one another.
