and I am nine
I think my life
is generally fine.

I find it tricky
To read and write
but that doesn't mean
that I'm not bright.

There's other things
that I can do
and that's just what
I will tell you.

I like to dance
and I like to sing
and I can do so
many other things.

I like to help out
sorting books
and I like to help
my family cook.

There's so many things
that I can do
these are a few things
I've just told you.

The Beach

of the gulls
greedily
snatching fish
from the water.
The
soft lapping
of the waves
on the shore.
The harsh sting
of the sand
on my legs.
The salty taste of
sea on my lips.
The lively
children playing
on
the sand.
The feel
of the dry, crunchy sand
under my feet.
