I am Socks

I am a pair of socks
On some smelly feet.

Running, jumping over rocks
Through the puddle; I'm not in Crocs.

Take me off and put me in the washing basket
And 'ouch, plop, ouch!' into the machine.
Out I come, I'm nice and clean.

Now I'm on the line to dry.
I'm very,very nice and high.

Here comes the girl and I'm taken down.
I'm put down on the ground, but…

'Oh no, not back on those smelly feet!'

Last Night I Dreamed of Elephants

Last night I dreamed of elephants
Dancing everywhere,
They were balancing on my benchtops
And blowing in my hair
They were stomping on my singlets
And all my books they read,
They stopped me from getting any sleep
As they tramped around my bed.
They were hiding in the fridges
And climbing up the stairs
They were making funny noises
In their underwears
I saw elephants, elephants, elephants
Everywhere I could see…
When I woke this morning I found
There was water on top of me!

Our Chooks

Every day when I collect their eggs
I see lots of pairs of legs.
Two on the nesting box,
Two on the ground,
There's lots of flapping around.

They like to scratch up my garden,
I say, "I beg your pardon,
Don't scratch up my garden!"
Then at last I get some eggs
And we make some yummy, yummy cakes.
