Candle Girl

Like melted wax,
sanity slips down
her ashen face.
In little time
the flame has whittled
her features away.
She's always crying
and the wax that drips
distorts her once lovely figure.
The wick shortens
till nothing's left but
a mound of misshapen memories.
The Arcane Mind

Infinite darkness,
Black, weighted traumas
Fogged as thick as blood,
But grey like my heart.
Livid thoughts
Bleeding through the cracks,
Open seeping wounded cut
Lacking that single deadly touch.
Shackled hands,
Slim and frosted snowy white
Scarred, impastled with dim light,
Hang like a marionette.
Slaved to the night,
Whipped, tortured, and drowning
In the void.
Its net entraps my head;
Yet I cleave to what is left.
The imbalance teeters
On a single gold thread,
Stretching, tearing and flaying in the wind
Must I soon give in?
