Mentorship Prize

To be considered for this prize, interested applicants must tick the box on the entry form titled "Mentorship Prize". Eligibility for this prize is restricted to permanent residents of Queensland with internet access, entering in Open Age categories.

There is one (1) mentorship prize only, consisting of 15 hours of mentoring with Australian Champion Bush Poet, Noel Stallard. Noel is the former President of the Australian Bush Poets Association, and is well-known for his writing and performance workshops, festival and function performances and judging of written and performance competitions. He currently lives in Brisbane and is accredited with the Queensland Education Department to present his poems to Primary School children. The prize includes the opportunity to have the winner's poem published on the Australian Bush Poets Association's web site.

Eligible poems will be shortlisted by our judging panel, and forwarded to Noel Stallard, who will select the winner.

The mentoring will take place in person as viable, and online.

The Mentorship Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services, and any travel or communication expenses incurred are the responsibility of the winner.

The prize must be taken as stated, and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to utilise the prize in full. The judges decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Submission of an entry confirms your acceptance of the conditions of the prize.
